Just for kicks and giggles

Sup guys, if you're reading this, it's because I chose some of my closest friends and people that may be interested in reading about my trip down to New Orleans and DC. There is really no purpose of this journal/blog. It's probably more for me as a release of sorts and holding myself accountable to do the right things, because God knows, I don't always (where dem beads at??). I'll  be mostly expressing my thoughts of stuff going on in poker, the city I'm visiting, and other random things. There's no pressure to follow this blog, other than you'll suck and I'll unfriend you on Facebook.

Day 4 The first night in my room, the thermometer read 67, 67! Sorry but that's freezing! I like it warm, somewhere between 72-75. So everyday I've been raising it 1 degree on the thermometer so it's a slow gradual temperature change that I'm hoping my roommates don't notice until it hits 72 (2 more days!). I'm hungry and decide to eat somewhere outside of the hotel and casino. I find a little cafe/dive called Daisy Dukes. It really doesn't get more southern than. It's off on some seedy side street that looks straight out of a movie (any Batman movie). I order the seafood gumbo. It was alright. Day 1

Day 1 Plan is 12 days in New Orleans for the Wsop circuit event (including the main event) and 8 days in Washington DC visiting Adam and playing in the new MGM poker room. Poker outside of Vegas is really great. I just love Vegas though. Joe is gonna meet up with me in NO in a few days and go up to DC w/ me. 8am flight. Running late, cost of bottle iced coffee, bag of nuts and a bag of gummy bears $16 at the airport. A little angry for spending so much (because I ran late...need to do a better job of being early, but I always tell myself that). Board and even though I checked in 23hrs before, still one of the last to board. Hopeful for an end seat, but doubt it. Somehow get one sitting next to a couple from Reno. Maybe a sign of running good this trip. Rarely talk to my plane mates but got in a nice conversation with the guy next to me. He's a truck driver and I say I'm a director of a singles ministry at a church in Vegas. It makes me happy to say that and mean it....

Day 2

Day 2 I wake up at 1pm to my roommates Kevin and Paul talking about Kevin missing $7k in cash. After a couple of mins of tracing back his steps, Kevin realizes he stuffed it in his wallet and forgot about it. Glad I'm not the only poker player that forgets where I place some of my roll from time to time. Also gonna admit, super relieved he found it, because Kevin doesn't know me that well, and even though I could just be assuming this, it's very likely I would be a suspect of stealing that cash, because how else could it be missing? Remember, this blog is aptly titled, "JK's thoughts". I spend way too much time trying to figure out how to upload pics to this blog. My views from the room.
